We’re really excited…we came home from school and all took a long nap so that hopefully we would be at our best for Grandma:). We’ve cleaned up the misc. stuff around the house…her sheets were changed this morning…she’s sleeping in Lydia’s room, entitled Grandma’s suite:). The girls have been busy making signs to hold at the airport…and putting new messages on their chalkboard doors to welcome Grandma. Grandma called when she was at the airport in Flint and will call again in Chicago. She should be in St. Louis by 10:15pm. I think we’re going to have a great time this weekend!

It seems so nice for us to be the ones welcoming and not the ones going this time…it’s usually the other way around. Maybe this is how it feels when people come home to heaven:)…maybe we’ll walk in to signs and banners, messages of love…clean sheets…food in the cupboard…warmth and love. Just a small glimpse tonight.

The weather is absolutely beautiful! I actually took my choir class outside this afternoon…don’t tell…we weren’t singing or anything…but it was just way too nice to sit inside and pound out notes. So…we hung out on the bleachers:). Every once inawhile I like to take them by surprise a little. And truthfully…I couldn’t handle not being outside.
The flowers will be coming soon…I can feel it:). And I kid you not…God gave Lauren and I a huge surprise this morning…on the way to school right by the road before we turn into the middle school there were 8 beautiful deer standing close enough to touch…it was like we were at Yellowstone or something…it was divine.

It was a wonderfully productive day with lots accomplished…good rest…and now great company coming…feels good to rest in the goodness of God…and my antibiotic has started so that gives me hope that soon it won’t feel like a piece of sandpaper in my throat everytime I swallow or cough.
